This part-time, temporary position at the West 5th Campus focuses on supporting patients in a forensic setting. Clinical Externs will assist with daily living activities under the supervision of Registered Nurses and other professionals, while gaining hands-on experience in mental health care. Ideal candidates will be enrolled in nursing or medical programs and exhibit robust clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist patients with activities of daily living
• Perform mobility assistance and vital signs checks




• Document care provided and notify healthcare professionals
• Engage patients socially and contribute to care planning
• Support comfort measures and perform cognitive assessments

Requirements:
• Enrolled in RN, RPN, or medical programs
• Current BLS certification
• Evidence of good academic standing
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Strong communication skills in a healthcare setting
