Shape the lives of residents at Maple View Lodge as a Full time Recreation Aide in Athens, Ontario. Implement engaging recreational programs that foster well-being and community growth.

This permanent full-time role reports to the Resident Services Supervisor. You will focus on creating individualized and group activities that enhance residents' physical, mental, emotional, and social health. A compassionate and energetic approach is required to ensure all activities are meaningful and promote a holistic lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement recreational programs for residents
• Facilitate engaging group activities and individual sessions
• Report on resident responses and behaviors effectively




• Collaborate with the healthcare team for enhancement programs
• Ensure the safety and enjoyment of all participants

Requirements:
• Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field
• CPR and First Aid Certification needed
• Two years’ experience in long-term care with the elderly
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and medical documentation software
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
