As a NSWOC, you will provide essential wound and ostomy consultations in both clinic and community settings. This role allows experienced Registered Nurses holding NSWOC certification to practice within their full nursing scope while enjoying flexible schedule. Your goals will include supporting patients through self-management strategies and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the best patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and manage a range of wound and ostomy conditions
• Lead multidisciplinary team discussions for optimal care
• Provide education for patient self-management strategies
• Conduct thorough holistic assessments of clients
• Apply research evidence to daily practice
Requirements:
• RN diploma with current CNO registration
• NSWOC certification or pending CNA exam
• Significant experience in wound and ostomy management
• Strong communication skills in English
• Valid driver's license for community travel
