Ability to follow verbal and written processes precisely. Consistently ensures that protected health information remains private according to the Access to Information Act (ATIA) and Protection of Privacy Act (POPA). Consistently follows Alberta Health Services Information Privacy and Information Security policies. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay. As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program. The position requires sitting for majority of the shifts, stretching, reaching, twisting and grasping are all actions that would possibly be required to perform during any given shift. Lifting up to 50 lbs at times is required.

Required Qualifications: Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications: Successful completion of Medical Terminology course (testing will be performed). 2 years medical reception experience. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work cooperatively and professionally with clients, nursing staff, and physicians. Ability to prioritize and organize work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively. Superior customer service skills. Proven accuracy in spelling, keyboarding and attention to detail.
Minimum typing speed of 45 wpm (testing will be performed). Proven initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision. MOA, Unit Clerk Course or equivalent. Experience in Patient Registration, Financial Records, and/or Telecommunication.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Patient Registration, Financial Records, and/or Telecommunication. Ability to communicate fluently in the English language. Ability to Problem-solve and be organized and efficient in day-to-day functions. Ability to work under pressure in emergent and urgent situations with limited supervision. Accurate and proficient keyboarding skills of 40 - 50 wpm required. Testing will be conducted with interviewed prospects.
