Join the City of Richmond Hill as a Water Wastewater Operator. This permanent full time role focuses on water quality sampling and infrastructure maintenance from Monday to Friday.

Reporting to the Supervisor of Water and Wastewater, you will oversee essential operations and maintenance for water and wastewater infrastructure. The role demands experience with confined space entry, water sampling, and responding to sewer backups. You will also supervise contractors and interact with public services while nurturing a commitment to community health through effective water management.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine water quality and wastewater sampling
• Maintain and repair water and wastewater infrastructure
• Inspect and flush sanitary sewer systems




• Coordinate traffic control and signage setups
• Manage contractor supervision during repair projects

Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
• Valid Ontario Class “G” driver’s license
• Certified Level 1 Water Operator
• Prepared to obtain further certifications within three years
