Dalhousie University seeks a Part-Time Academic for ERTH 1080: Geology I in Winter 2027. Engage students through agile lectures on Earth’s geosphere and its evolution over time.
In this teaching role, you will deliver course content, oversee student assessments, and support TAs. Candidates should hold a Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Geology or Earth Sciences. Teaching experience is preferred, especially previous course engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and deliver engaging geology lectures
• Conduct office hours for student support
• Grade assignments and prepare final marks
• Answer student inquiries promptly
• Hire and supervise teaching assistants as needed
Requirements:
• Minimum Master’s degree in relevant discipline
• Experience teaching is an asset
• Preference for candidates with course experience
