Sun West School Division invites applications for an Educational Assistant in Davidson School, Davidson, SK. This is a temporary position, 6.5 hours per day, every student day, starting as soon as possible and ending June 25, 2026.
Davidson School follows an Alternative Calendar for the 2026/27 school year.
The successful candidate will be required toattend to physical and cognitiveneeds of students as assigned, including personal care, lifting, transferring and activities as recommend by occupational therapists,physical therapists and speech and language pathologists. The successful candidate must be physically able to lift, turn, transferand assist students as required. Experience working with individuals with cognitive or physical limitations would be considered an asset. The successful candidate will have the ability to establish rapport andmaintain a calm demeanor to effectivelysupport the needs of students.
Candidates with post-secondary education in a field related, such asanEducational Assistant Certificate, would be considered an asset.
The successful candidate will work as a collaborative member of a team (Classroom teachers, Student Support Teachers, Principal and/or other qualified staff) providing assistance to teachers in the delivery and implementation of educational programs and services that facilitate the integration, growth, learning, safety and comfort of students with intensive needs. The successful candidate will work one-on-one with intensive needs students, youth with learning disabilities, those on modified and alternate programs, and those with health and behavior-related issues.
Salary and benefits for this position will be in accordance with the current Collective Agreement of CUPE Local 4802.
Wage Range: $21.70 to $24.60 per hour.
