Key Responsibilities

We're looking for a reliable, hardworking and passionate Line Cook to join our Kitchen Team.

As a Line Cook at Union Latinos, you'll help prepare and execute our menu while maintaining high standards of quality, consistency and food safety. You'll work closely with the kitchen team to keep service running smoothly, especially during busy periods.

- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards.
- Set up and maintain an organized station before, during and after service.
- Ensure food is prepared consistently, accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain proper portion sizes and presentation standards.




- Prepare ingredients through chopping, portioning, seasoning and other food preparation tasks.
- Monitor food quality, freshness and proper storage.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen team during service.
- Keep workstations, equipment and kitchen areas clean and organized.
- Follow proper food handling, sanitation and safety procedures.
- Assist with receiving, storing and rotating ingredients when required.
- Help with opening and closing kitchen duties.
- Work efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Requirements

At Union Latinos, food is an important part of how we celebrate Colombian culture. We require someone dependable, organized and able to keep up with a busy kitchen while maintaining a positive attitude and high standards.

- Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Solid attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays (if needed).
- Availability for shifts ending at approximately 10:00 PM is required.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
