Electrical Engineering Co-op Student- Hydro Engineering Department
($21.82 per hour, includes 4% vacation pay )

The Hydro Engineering Co-op Student will provide general engineering functions to support existing engineering staff, outside hydro crews, and the engineering manager.
The hours of work for this in-office position are Monday through Friday, 7:30am - 4:0pm.
More details and additional tasks are provided below:
- Gain understanding of ENWIN's distribution system, construction standards, processes, and procedures.
- Analyze unusual system conditions, low voltages, overloaded transformers, and power quality issues and suggest solutions.
- Update ENWIN's quarterly overloaded transformer and EV adoption reports.
- Perform field visits to update ENWIN's electrical distribution system mapping system and other records to reflect changes. A valid G2 or G Ontario Driver's Licence is required .
- Review and verify or correct draft construction drawings for capital construction projects.
- Assist in maintaining and revising ENWIN's construction standards in accordance with ESA standards.
- Use computer programs and engineering tools to solve engineering problems or streamline existing engineering-oriented record keeping (i.e. pole loading analysis software, transformer load analysis, voltage drop analysis, surveying and data collection tools).
- Perform analysis and produce reports related to ENWIN's approved equipment and materials (i.e., forecasting future required stock levels, performing preliminary evaluations of new equipment/materials, reviewing and documenting existing materials and their purpose).
- Help solve miscellaneous engineering process issues and work to establish new or improve existing standards, work instructions, guidelines, processes, procedures, and training documentation.
- Other duties as assigned
