Join a Growing, Specialized Tax Practice in the North GTAOur client, a well-established and growing mid-sized public accounting firm in the North GTA, is seeking a Tax Accountant to join their highly regarded specialized Tax Practice.This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional who wants to deepen their expertise, work on complex and interesting files, and collaborate with a high-performing team in a firm that values professional development and client impact.What You'll DoPrepare and review a wide range of income tax returns (personal, corporate, and trust), ensuring accuracy and full compliance with Canadian tax regulationsHandle information returns and regulatory filings, keeping clients compliant and up to dateAssist with tax elections, objections, and dispute resolution, gaining exposure to more complex tax mattersAnalyze CRA notices and statements of account, identifying issues and recommending next stepsBuild strong relationships with clients by providing clear, timely, and skilled tax guidanceSupport tax planning and advisory engagements, helping clients optimize their financial outcomesAct as a key liaison with tax authorities, managing inquiries and resolving issues on behalf of clientsStay ahead of changes in Canadian tax legislation, applying new rules and guidance proactivelyCollaborate closely with colleagues across the practice to deliver high-quality, timely client serviceLeverage modern tax software and tools to drive efficiency and accuracy in all deliverablesQualifications & ExperienceCPA designation (or near completion) with a strong foundation in Canadian taxCurrently enrolled in, or commitment to complete, the CPA In-Depth Tax Program2-3+ years of public practice experience,
with a clear focus on tax compliance and advisory workSolid understanding of Canadian income tax legislation and CRA processes, with the ability to apply tax rules in practical client scenariosHands-on experience with CaseWare, TaxPrep/Profile, and other tax and accounting softwareStrong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain tax concepts to clients and internal stakeholdersHighly detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skillsProven ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and client relationships in a fast-paced environmentRobert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
