Support elementary students with Edmonton Islamic Academy as a Substitute Educational Assistant. Provide classroom, behavioral, and instructional support under teacher guidance in a positive learning environment.
The successful candidate will assist students in following individualized learning plans and classroom programming. Working one-on-one or in small groups, you’ll help with behavior management and provide practical support during classroom activities and transitions. Collaboration with teachers and other staff regarding student progress is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide instructional support for individual students
• Assist with student behavior management when needed
• Supervise students during activities and transitions
• Collaborate with teachers about student needs
• Maintain confidentiality regarding students and families
Requirements:
• Educational Assistant Certificate or comparable education
• Preferably one year of related experience
• Experience with elementary-aged students a plus
• Robust communication and organizational skills
• Valid First Aid Certificate required
