Join a dedicated team as a Respiratory Therapist in Kirkland Lake, Ontario. This full time position focuses on patient care, respiratory education, and community support.
The ideal candidate will participate in both outpatient and inpatient care, assisting with pulmonary function tests, cardiac rehab support, and community education through the Kirkland & District Family Health Team. You'll provide crucial support in emergency settings while managing chronic respiratory disease cases, such as COPD and asthma. Commitment to patient wellness and education is essential, with a variety of responsibilities each week.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct outpatient pulmonary function tests and assessments
• Provide inpatient care including non-invasive ventilation
• Support the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program
• Educate patients on COPD and chronic respiratory diseases
• Offer smoking cessation assistance through the STOP Program
Requirements:
• Completed accredited 3-year Respiratory Therapy program
• Certified Registered Respiratory Therapist (R.R.T.)
• Current registration with CRTO in good standing
• Bilingualism considered an asset
• Willingness to travel as necessary
