Foothills School Division is seeking a Family School Liaison Counsellor (FSLC) to work across various schools, helping K-12 students and families. You will engage with school personnel and outside agencies to devise effective counselling interventions. The position requires assessment of student needs and development of support plans to enhance social-emotional, behavioural, and learning outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Consult with school personnel for counselling plans
• Provide brief counselling using a cognitive-based model
• Share vital information within cooperative teams
• Link families with appropriate educational resources
• Conduct risk assessments and develop intervention strategies
Requirements:
• Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology or Social Work
• Eligibility for registration with a designated governing body
• Experience in child, youth, and family well-being
• Proven skills in crisis assessment and intervention
• Ability to build collaborative partnerships
