GFL Environmental is seeking a Depot Technician for processing facilities. This role involves sorting and managing waste efficiently while ensuring great public interaction and communication.
In this role, you will report to the HHW Depot Manager and take responsibility for receiving, sorting, and packing waste from residents and the Toxic Taxi. Solid communication skills are vital, and bilingualism is preferred to assist diverse clientele effectively. You will also handle light administrative tasks and ensure the depot operates smoothly and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
• Receive and sort waste from residents and the Toxic Taxi
• Maintain clean grounds and depot facilities
• Communicate effectively with the public
• Perform light data entry and respond to inquiries
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and PPE requirements
Requirements:
• Valid “G” Class driver’s license
• Strong communication skills, bilingual preferred
• Experience with waste management practices
• Attention to detail for accurate log keeping
• Commitment to safety and operational efficiency
