The TTC is seeking a dedicated Track Mechanic Trainee who will work night shifts, with Tuesday and Wednesday off. Over an 18-month period, you will learn essential skills in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of track components. This role offers a pathway for reclassification as a Track Mechanic upon successful completion of training.
Key Responsibilities:
• Train on maintenance and inspection of track systems
• Perform scheduled and emergency repairs on track components
• Operate rail bending equipment for repairs
• Report track issues clearly to supervisory staff
• Support a respectful and diverse work workplace
Requirements:
• Grade 12 education or equivalent
• Basic experience with hand and power tools
• Ability to follow safety regulations and instructions
• Valid Ontario class 'G' driver's license
• Willingness to work in various conditions
