HOPE is hiring a compassionate Peer Support Worker for their Brantford office. This permanent part-time role requires 21 hours per week and some evenings or weekends. You'll utilize your lived experience to aid individuals on their recovery journeys and help them connect with community resources.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide hope and encouragement to service users
• Share recovery-based strategies from personal experience
• Assist individuals in identifying community supports
• Help create and work toward goal plans
• Model coping techniques and self-help strategies
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Lived experience with mental health services
• Solid interpersonal and communication skills
• Current First Aid or CPR certification
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
