GENERAL SUMMARY:

As a Cook and core part of the Moxy crew, you’ll keep the food coming hot, fresh, and on-brand. You know how to rock kitchen stations, deliver crave-worthy food, and keep the back-of-house buzzing. Your positive energy becomes part of every dish, turning meals into moments guests remember.

WHO YOU ARE:

Experience

- 1-2 years of experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in a hotel or upscale restaurant.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Formal culinary training or certification is an asset.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
- Ready to flex with shifts—including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, kitchen sanitation, and prep/line operations.
- Food Handler’s Certification.

Preferred Extras:

- Familiarity with Marriott culinary standards or kitchen procedures.
- Great communicator and natural team player.
- Must-have attention to detail, energy, and style.

Physical Requirements:

- Able to stand, hustle, and lift for long periods (up to 8 hours).
- Can lift/carry up to 50 lbs.




- Loves working in a hot kitchen and doesn’t sweat the pace.
- Manual dexterity for knives, kitchen equipment, and food prep.

Keep It Fresh:

- Prep and cook dishes that bring the Moxy mood—delicious, speedy, fun, and always stylish.
- Keep your station clean, organized, and selfie-ready at all times.
- Practice protected food handling, label everything, and rotate stock (FIFO).
- Help invent new menu items or add some Moxy twist.

Support the Crew:

- Hook up your teammates—jump in on service, lend a hand wherever needed, and help set the pace.
- Set up, break down, and re-stock stations for every new shift.
- Spot an issue? Flag it, fix it, keep the crew moving.

Shine Behind the Scenes:

- Maintain kitchen tools, log temps, and stay on top of HACCP.
- Take deliveries, store stock the right way, and never let freshness slip.
- Follow all cleanliness and compliance rules to keep health/safety standards sky-high.
