Location: Various locations across British Columbia
MedicalLaboratory Scientists conduct complex tests and analyses to provide criticalinformation for patient diagnosis and treatment. They also oversee laboratoryoperations and mentor MLTs.
KeyResponsibilities:
Perform advanced laboratorytests and analyses on biological specimens.
Ensure the accuracy andreliability of test results.
Develop and validate newtesting methods.
Maintain laboratory qualitycontrol and compliance with regulations.
Train and superviselaboratory personnel.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to discussfindings and implications.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in MedicalLaboratory Science or related field.
Certification as a MedicalLaboratory Scientist (e.g., ASCP, CSMLS).
Solid problem-solvingskills and attention to detail.
Excellent communicationskills.
