Description
SMS Equipment is seeking Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technicians to join our team in Regina, SK. In this role, you’ll perform on-site repairs and equipment builds for construction machinery while operating from a service truck. If you’re a solid troubleshooter who enjoys diagnosing issues and supporting customers in the field, this is an opportunity to put your expertise to work with an industry leader.
Base Wage : $48.60 per hour. Additional premiums and Overtime apply.
Location: Regina, SK
Schedule: 5x2
What You’ll Do
Performing assemblies, preventative maintenance, repairs and complete overhauls on heavy equipment.
Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized or other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required.
Make recommendations regarding extent of repairs and suggest methods of improvement.
Interpret work order and technical manuals.
Complete job specific reports and paperwork as needed.
Have a robust awareness and attitude towards workplace health and safety.
Motivated and able to work in a challenging environment with minimal supervision.
Work remotely in adverse weather conditions. Job tasks may be physically demanding lifting up to 50 lbs. Confined Space work is required.
What You Bring
The successful candidate will be a Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician with 1-2 years experience working in the field. Other requirements include:
Experience in repair/maintenance of heavy equipment: construction equipment preferred ; candidates with agricultural or on-road truck experience may be considered
Commitment to safety
Clear written and verbal communication
Ability to travel and meet customer site requirements, as required
