Reporting to the Director, Distribution Operations, the Quality Control Supervisor leads inventory control and quality processes within the Distribution Centre, ensuring inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and a high level of customer service. This role oversees inventory investigations, cycle counts, adjustments, returns, and continuous improvement initiatives while driving compliance and operational excellence.
What you will do: Lead inventory control and quality assurance activities to maintain high levels of inventory accuracy and operational excellence across the Distribution Centre.
Oversee cycle count programs, inventory investigations, and adjustment processes to identify discrepancies, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement.
Monitor inventory performance metrics, analyze trends, and implement corrective actions to reduce inventory variances, losses, and damages.
Oversee product returns and damaged goods processes, ensuring accurate inspection, documentation, and disposition.
Partner with warehouse operations, customer service, and supply chain teams to resolve inventory and fulfillment issues while improving customer satisfaction.
Develop, maintain, and enforce inventory control procedures, quality standards, and audit processes to ensure compliance and operational consistency.
Lead, coach, and develop the Quality Control team,
fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.
Support inventory audits, compliance requirements, and cost-control initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency and reducing losses.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support shared business objectives and contribute to ongoing operational improvements.
About you: 5+ years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, quality assurance, or supply chain environments.
2+ years of leadership experience with a proven ability to coach, develop, and motivate teams.
Strong knowledge of inventory control, cycle counting, reconciliation, warehouse processes, and quality standards.
Experience investigating inventory discrepancies, damages, returns, and other operational issues, with a focus on identifying root causes and driving improvements.
Proficient with WMS, ERP, inventory management systems, RF scanners, and Microsoft Office.
Robust analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations, warehouse compliance requirements, and loss prevention practices.
Experience in wholesale distribution and familiarity with material handling equipment are considered assets.
