Mississauga
Mississauga, ON | Full-Time | Permanent | $25/hour+ based on experience
Do you know construction materials, suppliers, and how to get the best deal?
DBNC Group is looking for a Construction Purchasing & Procurement Coordinator to join our growing team in Mississauga.
We're looking for someone who is well spoken and confident on the phone, a natural talker that understands that purchasing for construction is about more than simply placing orders.
You’ll be responsible for sourcing construction materials, communicating with suppliers, comparing quotes, negotiating pricing, coordinating deliveries, tracking orders, and making sure our construction teams have what they need to keep projects moving.
If you've worked in construction purchasing, procurement, estimating, construction administration, project coordination, building materials, or supplier/vendor management, this could be an excellent opportunity to grow with a third-generation family business.
We're especially interested in someone who is comfortable picking up the phone, talking to suppliers, negotiating pricing, and finding solutions when materials, pricing, or deliveries don't go according to plan.
About DBNC Group
DBNC Group is a third-generation family business with interests across construction, self-storage, real estate, software, and hospitality.
Our construction operations work on commercial and high-rise projects, and our purchasing team plays an important role in keeping projects supplied and moving forward.
You’ll work directly with company leadership and our construction/operations teams. Your work will have a direct impact on project costs, material availability, supplier relationships, and project timelines.
We’re not a large corporate bureaucracy.
We value people who take ownership, communicate directly, solve problems, and look for better ways to get things done.
Our culture is easy:
Work Hard. Play Hard. Rest Hard.
The Role
As a Construction Purchasing & Procurement Coordinator, you’ll help manage the purchasing process from sourcing and quoting through ordering, delivery, and follow-up.
You’ll work with suppliers of construction materials, building products, equipment, tools, and services, while supporting our construction and operating teams.
This is a hands‑on position for someone who enjoys being involved in the details and doesn’t mind picking up the phone to get answers.
Your Responsibilities
- Source and purchase construction materials, building supplies, equipment, tools, and related products.
- Communicate with construction suppliers, vendors, manufacturers, and subcontractors.
- Request, obtain, and compare supplier quotes.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery dates, payment terms, and purchasing conditions.
- Research alternative products and suppliers to achieve better pricing and availability.

- Coordinate local and overseas purchasing where required.
- Communicate with international suppliers and our overseas team regarding pricing, orders, production, and shipping.
- Maintain accurate purchasing, supplier, and order records.
- Work closely with project managers, site teams, operations, accounting, and company leadership.
- Help improve purchasing systems, procedures, and supplier relationships.
