Xenon Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Research Associate 1 or 2 in Biology for a one-year contract. This role requires expertise in brain slice electrophysiology to perform patch clamp experiments, characterizing effects of novel compounds. You will support various neuroscience research activities and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance translational studies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and execute brain slice electrophysiological recordings
• Perform viral injections in neonatal mice




• Conduct tissue culture and immunohistochemistry
• Collaborate with teams on target validation studies
• Maintain detailed records of experiments and data
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Neuroscience or Pharmacology
• Up to two years of relevant experience
• Practical experience with brain slices and electrophysiology
• Solid communication and record-keeping skills
