Position Overview

We are looking for a Shop Foreman to join our team with Calgary Honda. The successful candidate is someone who is passionate about the automotive industry and eager to contribute to our growing team.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

· Oversee the daily shop operations and supervise Technicians to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently within the dealership standards.

· Responsible for assigning work and schedule to Technicians/ Apprentices.

· Assist Service Manager with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed.

· Provide training and support for development to Technicians/Apprentices while staying updated on new technologies and repair techniques.

· Coordinate the workflow of vehicles ensuring the productive use of resources and timely completion of repairs.





· Monitor the quality of repair work and conduct routine inspections and audits.

· Responsible for implementing and maintaining Health and Safety practices throughout the shop while also ensuring that all employees/staff are following the policies in place.

· Responsible for diagnosing vehicle issues and performing test drives with customers as required.

· Ensure the Shop is clean and organized.

· Reviewing records of customer comebacks, including repair orders, service reports, and customer feedback to identify trends and recurring issues.

· Regularly check the shop's equipment and tools to ensure that it is in a good working condition and meet safety standards.

Qualifications Required

- Red Seal Certified Journeyman Technician
- Familiarity with Honda diagnostic tools and systems is an asset but not required
- 3-5 years of experience in a leadership or foreman role is considered an asset
- You have a valid Driver's license and provide a clean Driver's Abstract.
- Ability to carefully and safely drive both standard and automatic vehicles.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items and equipment such as tires, tools and equipment.
- You have a growth mindset and are continuously innovating and developing your skills
