Join our dynamic construction team as a Backhoe Operator, where you’ll play a vital role in executing excavation, grading, and site development projects with precision and efficiency. Responsibilities

- Operate backhoes and other heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, graders, and dozers to perform excavation, trenching, grading, and material handling tasks
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met
- Assist with horizontal drilling operations and paving projects, supporting the installation of underground utilities and road surfaces
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute site preparation activities efficiently
- Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE (personal protective equipment), to maintain a safe work environment
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, project progress,



and safety inspections
- Support other heavy equipment operations as needed, demonstrating versatility across various machinery types

Qualifications

- Proven experience operating backhoes, excavators, loaders, graders, and dozers in a construction setting
- Solid mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred for transporting equipment or materials between sites
- Familiarity with Caterpillar (CAT) machinery or similar brands is highly desirable
- Knowledge of horizontal drilling techniques and paving processes is a plus
- Demonstrated construction experience with an emphasis on safety and efficiency
- Ability to read blueprints, site plans, and technical instructions accurately
