- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field .
- Solid knowledge of fatigue and fracture mechanics .
- Hands-on experience with Damage Tolerance Analysis (DTA) methodologies.
- Familiarity with Airbus structural analysis and repair processes .
- Experience with relevant structural analysis and crack-growth tools.
- Knowledge of FAA/EASA certification requirements for structural repairs.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Damage Tolerance Analysis (DTA) Engineer to support Repair Engineering activities. The role focuses on structural integrity assessments of aircraft repairs, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Review Airbus-provided damage data, repair solutions, drawings, and technical inputs.
- Identify and map aircraft structural damage using engineering drawings.
- Perform crack growth, residual strength, and structural impact analyses .
- Assess damage and repairs affecting Structural Significant Items (SSIs) and Principal Structural Elements (PSEs) .
- Calculate section properties at damage locations.
- Perform crack propagation analysis using appropriate engineering tools.
- Define inspection thresholds, repeat intervals, and inspection methods.
- Support repair solutions in accordance with applicable airworthiness requirements.
- Communicate technical findings and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
