Director, Data Engineering and AI

Vacancy: new vacancy

Salary Range: $130,000 to 180,000 per annum with the placement and offered salary being based on knowledge, skills, education/training and experience, as well as external market conditions and internal equity

Workplace Type: Hybrid arrangement. The OBSI office is located in downtown Toronto

You will support the design, development, and leadership of OBSI’s data platform, governance framework, analytics, and AI agent development. This is a hands-on leadership role, with approximately 80% of responsibilities focused on data and AI design, and engineering, and approximately 20% focused on data strategy and governance. Working within the Microsoft ecosystem, the Director will lead a small team, growing the function over time,



and building the strategy and capability to manage both structured and unstructured information.

This role is well suited to an experienced data and AI leader who enjoys applied work and is committed to using technology responsibly in a regulated, privacy-sensitive environment.
