Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Excavator Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating excavators and other heavy equipment to assist in various construction projects. Your expertise will help ensure effective site development, material handling, and excavation tasks are completed safely and accurately.

Responsibilities

- Operate excavators and related heavy machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and pavers to perform excavation, grading, trenching, and material movement.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance before and after use.
- Assist with site preparation activities including leveling, digging foundations, and clearing debris using heavy equipment like Caterpillar machinery.
- Coordinate with project managers and team members to execute tasks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance schedules, and project progress reports.
- Support other construction operations such as horizontal drilling or paving as needed to meet project deadlines.




- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and colleagues.

Qualifications

- Proven experience operating excavators in a construction setting; familiarity with other heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and pavers is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of construction machinery including Caterpillar equipment.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance checks on heavy equipment and troubleshoot minor issues.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or equivalent certification preferred for transporting equipment between sites.
- Knowledge of construction safety standards and practices to ensure a safe working environment.
- Experience with horizontal drilling or paving projects is a plus but not required.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
