Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Finish Dozer Operator to join our construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating heavy-duty dozers to perform finishing tasks that shape and smooth surfaces, ensuring the highest quality standards on our projects. Your expertise in heavy equipment operation, mechanical knowledge, and attention to detail will be essential in delivering precise results that meet project specifications.

Responsibilities

- Operate finish dozers with precision to level, grade, and prepare surfaces for paving, landscaping, or further construction activities
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to perform routine maintenance checks and troubleshoot equipment issues promptly
- Assist with loader, backhoe, excavator, and grader operations as needed to support project workflows
- Coordinate with team members to ensure safety protocols are followed during all equipment operations
- Support paving activities by preparing surfaces and ensuring proper grading for optimal results
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, equipment usage, and any maintenance or repairs conducted




- Follow all safety guidelines and company policies to promote a safe working environment at all times

Experience

- Proven experience operating dozers in a construction environment, particularly finish grading and surface preparation
- Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment such as Caterpillar dozers, loaders, excavators, graders, and backhoes
- Hands-on experience with loader operation, backhoe operation, horizontal drilling, and paving is highly desirable
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred for transporting equipment or materials between sites
- Knowledge of construction site safety standards and practices
- Prior experience working with heavy equipment brands like Caterpillar is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while maintaining attention to detail
