Human Resources Manager
RPCN L & L Oilfield Services is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan.
We are looking for a practical, approachable and people-focused HR professional who understands that great human resources is about more than policies and paperwork. The successful candidate will build strong relationships with employees and managers, provide sound and practical advice, solve problems, and help create a workplace where people are treated fairly, expectations are clear, and the business can continue to grow.
This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys taking ownership, improving processes, and becoming a trusted resource for employees and management. Our ideal HR Manager is equally comfortable participating in discussions with company leadership and sitting down with an employee or supervisor to work through a day-to-day issue.
The scope and level of responsibility associated with this position may evolve based on the successful candidate's experience, qualifications, and demonstrated capabilities, providing an opportunity for an experienced HR skilled to take on broader responsibilities as the organization continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide HR leadership, guidance, and support to management, supervisors, and employees
- Manage recruitment and hiring, including job postings, interviews, offers, onboarding, and orientation
- Support workforce planning and ensure staffing requirements are met
- Manage employee relations matters, including performance concerns, discipline, conflict resolution, investigations, and terminations
- Develop, review, and maintain HR policies, procedures, employment agreements, and employee documentation
- Ensure company HR practices and policies comply with applicable Saskatchewan employment legislation and regulatory requirements
- Manage employee benefits and support compensation and wage administration
- Work closely with payroll to ensure employee information, employment changes, vacation entitlements, benefits, and other HR-related information are accurate
- Maintain complete, accurate, and confidential employee records and HR documentation
- Support performance management, employee development, and succession planning
- Manage and monitor attendance, leaves, vacation, and other employment-related matters
- Provide supervisors and managers with practical guidance regarding employee management, performance, and documentation
- Identify and implement improvements to HR processes, systems, communication, and employee experience
- Support initiatives related to workplace culture, employee retention, engagement, and organizational growth
- Prepare HR reports and maintain relevant workforce metrics
- Handle sensitive employee and company information with a high degree of discretion and professionalism
Qualifications & Experience The successful candidate will ideally have:
- 3–5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, with demonstrated ability to manage a broad range of HR responsibilities
- A diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- A CPHR designation, or progress toward one, considered an asset
- Strong working knowledge of Saskatchewan employment standards, employment legislation, and HR best practices
- Experience in oilfield services, construction, industrial services, trades, or another field-based workforce environment considered a strong asset
- Experience supporting both hourly and salaried employees
- Strong communication, interpersonal,
and conflict-resolution skills
- The confidence to provide clear and practical advice to managers while remaining approachable and accessible to employees
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Sound judgment and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive situations appropriately
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
