Our team is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of engineering and project execution, and we are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Piping Designer (Lead) who is eager to teach and grow within our dynamic team.

Under the mentorship of the Facility Design Lead, you will gain hands-on experience and develop your technical skills in a supportive and collaborative environment. The results you are responsible for include:

Provide Designing and Drafting Support for Projects:

- Develop 3D models of equipment and piping systems using AutoCAD and CADWorx Plant design software, with oversight by the Facility Design Lead.
- Develop/extract piping plans, sections, and isometrics (ISOs) from 3D models.
- Develop Plot Plans, Equipment Location Plans, General Arrangements, and Isometrics.
- Verify and back-draft all piping deliverables produced from the piping models.
- Ensure compliance with approved design standards and specifications to provide quality design; adhere to company drafting standards and procedures.
- Review and comment on vendor drawings and interdisciplinary drawings into project drawings.
- Produce Navisworks publishes from the 3D models.
- Prepare piping Material Take-offs (MTOs) and produce required stress ISOs and drawings.
- Communicate and interface with Facility Design Lead.




- Continuous development to maintain knowledge of various design & drafting software packages.
- Participate in 3D model reviews (as required).

Education / Experience Requirements:

- Engineering Design and Drafting Certificate (2-year program) from an accredited Technical Institute, or equivalent.
- 5-10 years of piping design experience in oil and gas facilities.
- Plans to be or already registered with ASET as a: Certified Technician (C. Tech.), or Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.)
- 3D modelling experience
- Experience with CADWorx Plant Software (3D modeling); AutoCAD (2D and 3D drafting); Navisworks; and other associated products for engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of ASME & ANSI Codes and Industry Standards.
- Knowledgeable with piping specifications, pipe support requirements, administrative and technical practices, design instructions, plot plans, flow diagrams, and interpreting vendor information.
- Proficient with PDF Editors (e.g., BlueBeam Revu, Adobe Acrobat) and Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Possess a valid Alberta Driver’s license with Clean Driver’s Abstract.
