Key ResponsibilitiesInventory Management
- Maintain accurate records of all used vehicle inventory.
- Perform weekly used vehicle inventory audits and updates.
- Monitor inventory aging and report findings to management.
- Ensure all vehicle information is current within dealership management systems and online listings.
- Track incoming and outgoing used vehicle inventory.
Market Price Research
- Conduct weekly used vehicle market research using industry pricing tools and competitor analysis.
- Monitor market trends and pricing fluctuations.
- Provide recommendations on vehicle pricing adjustments to remain competitive and maximize profitability.
- Generate regular reports on market conditions and inventory performance.
Lease Return Coordination
- Schedule and coordinate lease return inspections.
- Review inspection reports and identify reconditioning requirements.
- Communicate lease return status with customers, sales consultants, and management.
- Ensure timely processing of lease return vehicles.
Trade-In and Safety Inspection Follow-Up
- Coordinate safety inspections for all trade-in vehicles.
- Follow up with the service department regarding inspection completion.
- Track required repairs, reconditioning, and certification work.
- Ensure vehicles meet dealership standards before being offered for sale.
Used Car Lot Organization
- Work closely with Lot Attendants to maintain an organized and professional vehicle display.
- Ensure proper vehicle placement, labeling, and readiness for customer viewing.
- Monitor vehicle cleanliness and coordinate detailing when required.
- Maintain efficient lot utilization and inventory flow.
Administrative & Reporting Duties
- Prepare weekly inventory and pricing reports for management.
- Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, reconditioning, acquisitions, and inventory changes.
- Assist management with inventory planning and purchasing decisions.
- Support dealership objectives related to used vehicle sales and inventory turnover.
Qualifications
- Previous automotive dealership experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of used vehicle valuation and market pricing.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Robust attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency with dealership management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, sales staff, service personnel, and management.
