Easy Renovation is looking for a Junior Interior Designer to join our growing design and renovation team.

The role is focused on residential renovation projects across the GTA, with involvement in space planning, kitchens and bathrooms, cabinetry and millwork, technical drawings, 3D visualization, material selection, client presentations, and project coordination.

Role Overview

As a Junior Interior Designer, you will contribute to residential projects from concept development through design documentation and execution, working closely with designers, project managers, contractors, suppliers, and clients.

You will be responsible for developing design solutions, preparing drawings and visual materials, selecting finishes and products, coordinating design information, and supporting the successful implementation of designs on site.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop functional and aesthetically strong residential design concepts based on client needs, budgets, and project requirements.
- Prepare floor plans, layouts, elevations, technical drawings, and design presentations.
- Create and revise 3D models and renderings.
- Develop designs for kitchens, bathrooms, cabinetry, storage solutions, and custom millwork.




- Research and specify materials, finishes, fixtures, cabinetry, and other interior elements.
- Participate in client meetings, design presentations, and site visits.
- Take and verify site measurements and translate them into accurate design documentation.
- Prepare and maintain project drawings, specifications, selections, and other design documentation.
- Coordinate design details with senior interior designers, project managers, contractors, suppliers, and trades.
- Support projects through implementation to help ensure the completed work reflects the approved design.

Requirements

- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, or comparable design software.
- Familiarity with Chief Architect is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of residential space planning, kitchens, bathrooms, cabinetry, millwork, materials, and finishes.
- Ability to produce clear and accurate technical drawings and design documentation.
- Ability to create skilled 3D visuals and client presentations.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and revisions simultaneously.




- Comfortable communicating and collaborating with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Proactive approach to identifying and solving design-related problems.
- Ability to work independently on assigned responsibilities while collaborating closely with the broader project team.
- Availability to work in our hybrid model: 3 days in the office and 2 days remotely.
