Courtyard by Marriott Brampton is seeking a reliable and motivated Part-Time Maintenance Associate to support the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of our hotel. This hands-on position plays an essential role in maintaining guestrooms, public areas, equipment, and building systems while responding promptly to guest and operational needs.

What You’ll Do

- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs throughout guestrooms, public areas, back-of-house spaces, and the hotel exterior.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest maintenance requests and concerns.
- Troubleshoot and complete minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, drywall, and general repair work.
- Complete preventative maintenance inspections and scheduled maintenance assignments.
- Inspect guestrooms and hotel facilities to identify deficiencies, damages, safety concerns, and required repairs.
- Repair or replace fixtures, hardware, furniture components, lighting, plumbing fixtures, and other hotel equipment as required.
- Support the maintenance and monitoring of the hotel’s pool, fitness centre, mechanical systems, and equipment.
- Complete painting, patching, caulking, grouting, and general cosmetic repairs throughout the property.
- Assist with snow removal, salting, landscaping, and exterior property upkeep as required.
- Assist with moving furniture, mattresses, equipment, supplies, and other hotel items when required.
- Maintain clean, organized, and secure maintenance workspaces, storage rooms, and equipment areas.




- Monitor inventory levels of maintenance tools, parts, and supplies and report replenishment needs to management.
- Accurately complete maintenance logs, inspection records, work orders, and preventative maintenance documentation.
- Report equipment failures, building deficiencies, safety hazards, and urgent repair needs to the appropriate manager.
- Coordinate with Housekeeping, Front Desk, and other hotel departments to complete repairs efficiently and minimize disruption to guests.
- Assist external contractors and service providers when required.
- Use tools, equipment, chemicals, and personal protective equipment safely and according to manufacturer and hotel guidelines.
- Follow all Marriott brand standards, workplace health and safety requirements, fire safety procedures, and hotel policies.
- Support other maintenance and operational duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

- Previous hotel maintenance, building maintenance, facilities, construction, or general repair experience is considered an asset.
- General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, drywall, carpentry, and basic building repairs.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe and well-functioning property.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to complete assigned duties with minimal supervision.
- Positive attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong time-management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Qualified and respectful communication when interacting with guests, coworkers,



contractors, and vendors.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Ability to bend, kneel, climb, reach, push, pull, and safely lift or carry maintenance equipment and hotel supplies.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment.
- Basic computer or mobile-device skills for completing work orders and maintenance records.
- Must be flexible to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on operational requirements.

Experience:

- Hotel, Building, or Facilities Maintenance: 1 year (preferred)
- General Repairs or Construction: 1 year (preferred)

- 8-hour shifts
- Day shifts
- Evening shifts
- Weekends
- Holidays as required
- Must have flexible availability based on hotel occupancy and operational needs
