Applications are now being accepted for a Casual Nurse Practitioner to work on the Inpatient Unit. The successful applicant will be required work to Monday to Sunday, 0700-1500.
Education
- Current Certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses in the Extended Class with a Master’s degree preferred
- Active member of the RNAO, NPAO Chapter
- Current BCLS required
- Palliative care training required
- Current NRP certification or will pursue within 6 months
Skills and Ability
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge and commitment to client centered care model
- Crisis management skills
- Excellent physical assessment skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team
Work Experience
- Two years recent experience in Acute care nursing is preferred
Other
- Valuable attendance record and a level of fitness appropriate for the demands of the position is required
