The Opportunity

Highspring is seeking a Senior Python Developer (AI Engineer) to join a growing Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning team. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and support of enterprise-grade AI solutions leveraging Machine Learning and Generative AI technologies.

You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and technical teams to translate business requirements into scalable Python-based solutions. This position is ideal for an experienced developer with strong software engineering fundamentals and a passion for AI innovation.

What You'll Do

- Develop, enhance, and support enterprise-grade Python applications and libraries.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Design and implement robust, maintainable, and high-performing software architectures.
- Build and maintain REST APIs and backend services.
- Participate in prompt engineering initiatives for Generative AI solutions.
- Maintain and optimize prompts as new Large Language Model (LLM) versions become available.
- Conduct prompt benchmarking, testing, and performance analysis.
- Monitor AI solutions and contribute to ongoing reliability, observability, and performance improvements.
- Contribute to the maintenance and support of shared Python libraries and frameworks.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and cross-functional collaboration.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to AI and software engineering best practices.

What You Bring to the Table
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- 5 years of professional software development experience.
- Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale applications.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely.
