Quality Control Inspector – Machine Shop

Pleasant Mfg., a production job shop specializing in CNC-turned parts, is seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector to join our team.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day quality activities, ensuring machined parts meet customer specifications, quality processes are followed and maintained, and the quality department remains organized and efficient.

/ Responsibilities

- Verify dimensions of machined parts in accordance with engineering drawings and customer specifications.
- Perform First-Off and Final Inspections.
- Support production team members with dimensional verifications and quality-related questions.
- Document and report dimensional or other specification deviations to supervisors.
- Maintain, repair, and calibrate measuring and inspection equipment.
- Create, complete, and maintain accurate inspection records and documentation.
- Reject, tag, and manage the initial disposition of defective or non-conforming material.
- Ensure established quality procedures and processes are consistently followed.
- Maintain an organized and efficient quality inspection area.

Qualifications, Skills & Abilities





- 10+ years of experience working in a quality department, preferably within a machine shop or CNC manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to follow precise instructions, established procedures, and standard practices.
- Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T.;
- Strong working knowledge of a variety of precision measuring instruments, including manual/digital micrometers and vernier, plug gauges, height gauges, dial indicators, sunnen gauges, etc.
- Extensive experience using optical comparators; Oasis experience is an asset.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management standards is an asset.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while also working effectively as part of a production team.

Position Details

- Position: Quality Control Inspector
- Employment: Full time
- Shift: Day Shift Monday-Friday 7:00 to 4:00 pm
