We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Respite Worker to provide essential support and relief to individuals with diverse needs. Duties
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide medication reminders and assist with medication administration as trained and authorized
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Support clients with light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces
- Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being
- Monitor health status,
report any changes or concerns to family members or healthcare professionals promptly
- Assist with transfers, heavy lifting, and mobility support to ensure safety during movement
Skills
- Prior experience in assisted living, home care, or nursing home environments is highly valued
- Strong patient care skills with a focus on senior care, dementia care, hospice care or individuals with disabilities
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety protocols
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with mobility needs
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams
- Compassionate caregiving attitude combined with patience and attentiveness
- Ability to handle cleaning tasks efficiently while maintaining hygiene standards
