About the Role

We are looking for a Senior BI & Data Analyst to join our Enterprise Data & Analytics team. This role focuses on data analysis, SQL, data validation, business analysis, requirements gathering, and UAT , helping business and technology teams turn complex data into actionable insights.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience analyzing data and understanding business processes. This is not a dashboard-focused BI role . Candidates whose background is primarily Power BI/Tableau dashboard development or reporting will not be a robust fit.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze complex datasets using SQL to identify trends, issues, and business insights.
- Perform data profiling, data mining, data validation, and data quality testing .
- Work with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into user stories and functional requirements .
- Analyze and document business processes, business rules, data flows, and system workflows .
- Lead and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business users and stakeholders.
- Conduct deep-dive and ad-hoc data analysis to solve business problems.
- Work closely with engineering, product, and business teams to deliver data and analytics solutions.
- Validate data and ensure that solutions meet business requirements.
- Create business flow diagrams and data flow diagrams where required.




- Present analytical findings and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience with complex SQL queries and data analysis
- 5+ years of experience in Data Analysis / Business Systems Analysis
- Strong experience in data profiling, mining, validation, and testing
- 5+ years of experience managing UAT cycles and working with business stakeholders
- Strong requirements gathering and user story writing skills
- Experience analyzing business processes and data flows
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Experience with BI/visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or MicroStrategy is a plus

Candidates whose majority of experience is in:

Power BI / Tableau + Dashboard Development + Reporting / Visualization will not be considered a strong fit , as the BI-focused work for this team is expected to become more prominent later.

Education

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Information Systems, or a related field
- Master's degree is an asset
- Experience in Life Sciences / Biotechnology is a plus
