About Dogpatch

Dogpatch is a neighbourhood pub in Riverdale, steps from the North Saskatchewan River. Burgers, pizza, weekend brunch, Alberta beer, and a patio where the dogs get as much attention as the guests. Open seven days, 11am to 10pm weekdays and 9am to 10pm weekends.

The job

You look after the room and the patio. Regulars, first-timers, families at brunch, and a fair number of dogs. You know the menu and what is on tap, and you make people feel like they picked the right place.

- Greet, seat and look after your section, inside and on the patio.
- Know the menu and the taps well enough to recommend with a straight face.
- Take orders accurately and get food and drinks out promptly.
- Serve alcohol responsibly. Check ID, watch your tables, refuse service when you need to.
- Keep your section clean and reset between guests.
- Close out your section and cash out at the end of the shift.
- Report to the Supervisor on duty.

Schedule Part-time,



15 to 30 hours a week. Mostly evenings from mid-afternoon to close, plus brunch shifts on weekends. Weekends are a must.

What we are looking for

- Serving experience is welcome. A warm manner and a valuable memory matter more.
- ProServe, or willing to get it before your first shift.
- Steady on a full patio in July and a quiet Tuesday in January.
- Comfortable around dogs. There will be dogs.
- Available evenings and weekends.
