We are a unique and vibrant salon focusing on curly hair. We are located in North York, right near Yonge and Sheppard, and we are looking to expand our team! The Jonathan Torch Curly Hair Institute specializes in cutting, colouring, and treating all types of curly hair, from a loose wave to a tight or kinky curl. We are looking for an assistant for our salon. If you are hoping for a position that is fun, qualified, and high intensity, then this is the position for you!

Salon assistants are an essential part of our salon, and their duties are numerous, but significant. Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to cleaning and sanitizing (maintaining and sanitizing stylist stations, sweeping etc.), shampooing clients, laundry (putting towels in the washing machine and dryer, folding towels, etc.), stocking products on the shelf so that they’re ready for purchase, and over all, making sure that the clients are happy and satisfied.





An important part of the salon assistant job isn’t just taking care of the salon, but also being part of a dedicated team. So assistants need to be professional and friendly towards our clients and other staff (to work well as part of a team), able to multi-task with accuracy, to have a positive and likeable personality, to be willing to learn, and to have excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
