We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Roll-off Truck Driver - Class 1 to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating heavy-duty trucks to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and excellent service. Your expertise in commercial driving, combined with your ability to handle heavy equipment and perform basic automotive repairs, will contribute significantly to our operational success. Responsibilities
Safely operate Class 1 trucks to transport freight over short and long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load security
Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as required, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo
Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, including delivery logs, inspection reports, and freight manifests
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients to coordinate pickup and delivery schedules
Perform routine vehicle maintenance or basic repairs to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met
Comply with all company policies and legal regulations related to commercial driving and transportation
Skills
Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record
Proficiency in forklift operation for loading and unloading freight safely
Experience handling freight shipments efficiently while maintaining safety protocols
Knowledge of heavy equipment operation necessary for loading/unloading cargo
Basic automotive repair skills to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues on the road or at the yard
Robust communication skills for clear interactions with team members and clients
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
