Halifax Regional Municipality seeks a Program Coordinator to enhance community safety. This permanent, full time role is vital for developing and implementing effective safety programs across neighborhoods. As a vital member of the Programs & Partnerships section, you will support community safety by coordinating initiatives that address local needs and challenges.

Reporting to the Alternative Response Manager, you will engage with community partners and manage projects aimed at improving public safety and resource access for vulnerable populations. Your expertise will be crucial in evaluating success and enacting continuous improvements. Key Responsibilities:
Direct coordination of safety-related programs
Collaborate with community organizations and municipal units




Promote program goals and measure outcomes
Research community safety trends and data
Maintain strategic relationships with stakeholders Requirements:
Degree in Social Work, Community Development, or similar
Two years of relevant project management experience
Experience in community mobilization and diversity
Understanding of social challenges facing vulnerable groups
