Organizational Profile The Regional District of Fraser-Fort George (RDFFG) is located in north-central British Columbia and encompasses a mix of urban centers, rural communities, river valleys and mountain landscapes, including the municipalities of the City of Prince George, District of Mackenzie, Village of McBride, and Village of Valemount, along with seven electoral areas that serve rural and unincorporated communities across the region.
Incorporated in 1967, the RDFFG provides a range of regional and community services including building inspection, parks and recreation facilities, water systems, and solid waste management to nearly 100,000 residents. About the Role The Regional District of Fraser-Fort George (RDFFG) is seeking a collaborative and operationally focused Field Supervisor to oversee Solid Waste + Parks Operations in the Robson Valley. Reporting to the Superintendents of Solid Waste Operations and Utilities, Parks, and Facilities,



this hands-on leadership role provides front-line supervision to unionized Environmental Services Workers while coordinating daily operations across multiple sites. The Field Supervisor is responsible for supporting operational planning, contractor coordination, and service delivery, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory requirements, permits, collective agreements, and Regional District policies.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced supervisor to join a supportive Environmental Services leadership team and oversee essential solid waste and parks operations that directly serve communities throughout the Robson Valley. The ideal candidate will bring experience in solid waste or environmental services operations, a strong understanding of unionized work environments, and a commitment to safety, operational excellence, and team leadership.
The hourly wage for this unionized supervisory position is $40.12 to $44.06 per hour and is supplemented by a competitive total compensation plan.
