Working alongside the Retail Manager, you’ll lead and inspire a dynamic retail team in Big Bear Sports and our other retail location satellite locations across the resort, driving sales, delivering outstanding customer service, and ensuring smooth daily operations. Responsibilities & Qualifications DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to the following):
· Assist the Retail Manager in hiring, training, and engaging a passionate team.
· Provide ongoing coaching and recognition to team members to foster growth and retention.
· Oversee team member scheduling, daily opening/closing duties and ensure smooth store operations.
· Provide exceptional service on the sales floor, resolving concerns, and creating positive experiences.
· Ensure merchandising and displays align with Cypress Mountain’s brand standards and seasonal promotions.
· Support implementation of promotions, events, and sales strategies designed to drive revenue and guest engagement.
· Assist with receiving, stocking, monitoring inventory levels at all outlets, and reconciling discrepancies.
· Help uphold Boyne Resorts’ brand guidelines and ensure the store meets audit requirements.
· Responsible for maintaining & surpassing Boyne Standard Audits at outlet.

QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:
• Experience in the ski resort, outdoor recreation, hospitality, or tourism industry is highly desirable.
• Passion for outdoor activities and intermediate or advanced skiing and snowboarding ability is an asset.
• Excellent leadership skills, time management, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, experience with RTP or other POS/inventory systems is an asset.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and adaptable in a diverse working environment.
• Well organized, detail-orientated, punctual, hardworking, self-motivated, and outgoing.
• Ability to remain organized and courteous when under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• 2+ years retail experience in a leadership role.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, administrative skills and the ability to use computers/web-based inventory programs to enter data and process information.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
• Legally able to work in Canada.
• Valid BC driver’s license.
• A reliable & insured vehicle with winter tires (for winter season), to get to/from work (no shuttle service in the off-season months).
22-24/hour DOE
