RX Dental Accountants

Mississauga

RX Dental is a specialized family office serving pharmacists, dentists, and physicians through two coordinated companies: RX Dental Accountants and RX Dental Wealth Management.

Our mission is to help healthcare professionals achieve the financial freedom they deserve through proactive advice, specialized expertise, and strategic planning.

We are growing and looking for an experienced Senior Tax Manager who wants to do more than review tax returns. This is an opportunity to advise successful healthcare professionals and practice owners, lead a developing accounting team, and help shape the future of a specialized tax and advisory firm.

Position Details

Location: Mississauga or Barrie, Ontario

Work arrangement: Hybrid, three days in office and two days working from home

Compensation: $130,000 to $160,000 in total annual fixed compensation

Bonus: Target of 10%, with the opportunity to earn up to 20%

What You Will Do

Lead Client Relationships

Take ownership of key client relationships and become a trusted advisor. Communicate complex tax matters in plain language, provide proactive guidance, and deliver a premium client experience.

Develop Tax Strategies

Identify, develop, and present corporate and personal tax-planning strategies tailored to each client’s business, family, and long-term financial objectives.

Provide Advanced Tax Advice

Advise clients on corporate reorganizations, compensation planning, succession planning, and other advanced tax strategies. Coordinate implementation with lawyers and other professional advisors.

Advise on Practice Acquisitions and Startups

Guide healthcare professionals through practice acquisitions and new practice startups. Depending on the engagement, this may include due diligence, structuring the transaction, evaluating financing options, developing financial projections, and supporting the client through closing while coordinating with lenders, lawyers, vendors, and other professional advisors.

Oversee Tax Compliance

Review T1, T2, and T3 returns and oversee complex tax filings. Act as the engagement partner responsible for the limited number of compilation engagements completed under CSRS 4200 and issued through your CPA Professional Corporation.

Lead and Develop the Team

Coach and mentor accounting professionals, provide technical guidance, review work, establish clear expectations, and conduct regular performance reviews.

Build Training Programs

Develop and deliver structured training that strengthens technical knowledge, client-service skills, and the onboarding experience for new team members.

Improve the Firm

Collaborate with the firm’s partners on process improvements, technology adoption, service development, workflow visibility, and strategic growth initiatives.

Support Business Development

Recognize opportunities to support clients through the firm’s tax, accounting, advisory, and wealth management services. Help grow the tax practice by developing existing relationships and contributing to recent business opportunities.

What You Bring

- Completion of the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Program

- An existing CPA Professional Corporation

Compensation and Benefits

- $130,000 to $160,000 in total annual fixed compensation, based on experience
- Performance-based bonus with a target of 10% and the opportunity to earn up to 20%
- Three weeks of paid vacation
- Every Friday off during July and August, with pay
- Paid office closure during the Christmas holidays, in addition to regular vacation
- CPA annual membership dues covered
- Continuing education support
- Combined Health Spending Account and taxable wellness benefit of up to $2,500 annually
- Hybrid work arrangement with two work-from-home days per week
- Opportunities for increased leadership, influence, responsibility, and compensation as the firm grows

The performance-based bonus recognizes contributions to client service, team development, workflow management, firm objectives, new business, and practice growth.

Employee and Subcontractor Structure

This position includes both an employee and subcontractor component.

A limited number of compilation engagements will be subcontracted to and issued through your CPA Professional Corporation. Most RX Dental clients do not require a compilation engagement.

If you do not currently have a CPA Professional Corporation, we will assist with establishing it and cover the related setup fees and annual dues. The successful candidate must be eligible and willing to establish and maintain a CPA Professional Corporation registered with CPA Ontario, as required.

The posted compensation range represents total annual fixed compensation across both components. The performance-based bonus is paid in addition to this amount.

Why Join RX Dental?

This is an opportunity to help shape a growing specialized firm, not simply fill an existing role.

You will build meaningful client relationships, lead and develop a talented team, contribute to strategic decisions, and help healthcare professionals achieve better financial outcomes. As RX Dental grows, so will your responsibilities, influence, and earning potential.

If you are looking for a leadership position where your tax expertise, ideas, and initiative will be valued, we would be pleased to hear from you.

How to Apply

Please apply with your resume and a brief cover letter describing your tax-planning, team-leadership, and client-advisory experience.

We thank all applicants for their interest. Only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
