About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) to serve as the senior administrative and operational leader. This role is pivotal in the effective management and oversight of the organization's operations, administration, finance, human resources, facilities, security, technology, and operational systems.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the implementation of strategic, operational, and organizational initiatives, providing leadership and continuity across all functions, and ensuring good governance and informed decision-making.
Key responsibilities also include leading human resource functions, overseeing operational modernization and process improvement, and managing facilities operations and vendor relationships.
Applicants for the CAO position at the company should have significant senior leadership and administrative management experience, preferably in a non-profit, community, educational, faith-based, or public sector setting. The role requires a demonstrated track record in operational effectiveness, budget management, and oversight of financial operations.
The ideal candidate will be an empowering, responsive, service-oriented, and compassionate leader with the ability to coach, mentor, and influence. Familiarity with Jewish communal life, synagogue operations, and the Jewish calendar is an asset.
The CAO will work in partnership with the Executive, Treasurer, Finance Committee, and the Board to support the organization's financial planning, sustainability, and operational stewardship.
