The Opportunity:

The Ministry of Labour Relations and Workplace Safety (LRWS) is seeking a client-focused, detail-orientated, independent, and adaptable team member to join the Employment Standards team as our Wage Trust and Appeal Administrator. Reporting primarily to the Manager of the Compliance Review and Collections Unit and working with the Director of Programs and Policy, you are responsible for administration of the wage trust account, the employment standards appeals processes pursuant to The Saskatchewan Employment Act, and for support on collection and compliance review files.

As the wage trust account administrator, you are responsible for accurate deposits, payouts, and record keeping for the wage trust account and general revenue fund. You will verify and monitor payments and account balances daily, to detect discrepancies and problem solve solutions.

You will determine, based on criteria,



and initiate weekly payouts from the wage trust account and ensure accurate record keeping. You will be Employment Standard's main liaison with LRWS Corporate Services on wage trust account processes, and you will work with ministry and employment standards staff to ensure compliance with the Financial Administration Manual and auditor requirements.

As the appeals administrator, you are responsible for the preparation and dissemination of information relating to employment standards appeals of wage assessments, adjudicator decisions and Labour Relations Board decisions. You will monitor the status of appeals, determine appeal expiry periods and the disposition of appeal deposits and the application of fees.

You will track appeal files, draft reports on appeal developments and outcomes, and maintain and report appeal statistics.
