The client is looking for a detail-oriented Mechanical Estimator to enhance bid accuracy and project proposals. You will work closely with various teams, interpret drawings and specifications, and prepare comprehensive cost estimates using industry-standard tools like Auto Bid and Bluebeam.
This role requires solid analytical skills and attention to detail to support competitive project bids.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review project documents to define scope and requirements
- Collaborate with teams to gather necessary project data
- Prepare precise cost estimates using Auto Bid and Excel
- Identify value engineering opportunities in estimates
- Update and maintain the cost database for efficiency
Requirements:
- Journeyman certification in Sheet Metal/HVAC or Plumbing
- Proven experience in mechanical estimating
- Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS)
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and codes
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
