Project Controls Analyst

Your New Role
As a Project Controls Analyst, you will support the successful delivery of increasingly complex projects valued at up to $10M. You will be responsible for project controls activities including scheduling, cost control, reporting, benchmarking, forecasting, and change management.
Working closely with project stakeholders, engineering teams, construction teams, and leadership, you will provide critical analysis and reporting that supports informed decision-making and project success.
What You Need to Do:
- Coordinate project controls processes, systems, and procedures across project phases.
- Develop, maintain, and update project schedules aligned with scope, objectives, and execution plans.
- Integrate resource-loaded schedules, monitor progress, and track performance against plan.
- Prepare, analyze, and deliver accurate project controls reports and status updates.
- Compare planned, actual, incurred, and forecast costs/hours, identifying and explaining variances.
- Support forecasting, change management, make-up orders, and change order estimates.
- Assist with engineering and construction progress audits and project closeout readiness.
- Review contractor change proposals against EWP/CWP scope, quantities, and deliverables.
- Perform benchmarking analyses, data normalization, and benchmarking reporting.
- Analyze industry studies, external databases, and published reports to support project recommendations.
- Escalate risks and concerns to leadership with data-driven recommendations.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- 7-10 years of project controls experience supporting engineering, construction, or capital projects.
- Strong background in scheduling, cost control, forecasting, reporting, and performance analysis.
- Experience with Project Cost Management Systems and project controls tools.
- Proven benchmarking, data analysis, and reporting capabilities.
- Ability to perform complex calculations and present findings through reports, dashboards, and recommendations.
- Strong communication, influencing, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and support decision-making.
- CCP designation or equivalent advanced cost engineering certification is an asset.
