Heritage Ford is a proud, local, family-owned dealership and a long-standing member of Ford of Canada. As a full-service Ford dealership, we provide vehicle sales, maintenance, repairs, parts support, collision repairs and comprehensive after-sales care.

We are growing our service operation and looking for a skilled, motivated licensed 310S Automotive Service Technician who is ready to work, produce and earn.

This opportunity is for a technician who wants more than simply punching a clock. If you have strong diagnostic abilities, take ownership of your repairs, value quality workmanship and want a shop that provides the opportunity to produce strong hours, we want to hear from you.

We have the work. We are looking for technicians who want to put in the effort.

The Technician We’re Looking For

We are specifically looking for a technician who can accurately identify the root cause of a concern—not simply replace parts and hope for the best.

The successful candidate will have strong mechanical, electrical and drivability diagnostic skills, complete lasting repairs and contribute to a strong Fixed Right the First Time result.

This is a performance-driven shop where productivity, efficiency, diagnostic accuracy, repair quality and overall contribution are monitored and recognized.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform maintenance and repairs on Ford and other vehicle makes
- Use scan tools, diagnostic equipment, wiring diagrams and technical resources
- Identify the root cause of vehicle concerns accurately
- Complete repairs efficiently and correctly the first time
- Perform comprehensive vehicle inspections
- Identify and document legitimate maintenance and repair requirements

- Document diagnostic steps, test results and recommendations clearly
- Complete warranty and customer-pay repairs according to required standards
- Communicate parts requirements and repair timelines promptly
- Maintain communication with service advisors throughout the repair process
- Perform road tests when required
- Verify the quality and completion of repairs before returning vehicles
- Follow all Ford, dealership and workplace safety procedures
- Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area

- Diagnostic accuracy
- Repair quality and comeback prevention
- Inspection quality and documentation
- Training and certification progress

Performance is not measured by speed alone. We are looking for technicians who can balance strong productivity, diagnostic accuracy, thorough inspections and quality workmanship. What We Expect From You

- Come prepared to work, produce and contribute to the shop’s success
- Demonstrate strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
- Take ownership of assigned repairs from diagnosis through completion
- Diagnose concerns accurately instead of simply replacing parts
- Complete repairs correctly and efficiently
- Maintain solid productivity without sacrificing workmanship
- Perform thorough and honest vehicle inspections
- Clearly document diagnostic steps, findings and recommendations
- Communicate proactively with service advisors
- Follow Ford, dealership and safety procedures
- Keep your bay, tools and work area clean and organized
- Participate in ongoing Ford and technical training
- Demonstrate dependable attendance, professionalism and accountability
